The Infiniti is the latest pendant light from Giesemann Lighting in Germany and has been developed as an object of beauty to grace any room but with built in flexibility and technical innovations that make it stand alone as a function and design icon.
The new Infiniti is the ultimate lighting solution combining the powerful, diffused light and pastel colours offered by 4 D-D T5 tubes with the point intensity and ‘glitter line' movement provided by metal halide lamps - a blend of lighting solutions which reduces stress at the base of corals caused by shadowing through the use of metal halides lights alone.
Each pair of tubes is individually switched so it is possible to start the day with a pair of actinic tubes, then to introduce the power of two Aquablue+ tubes before finally switching on the halide lamps. This provides a more gradual and therefore natural increase and decrease in light intensity.
The infiniti can also be supplied with 2 T5 tubes as a lower cost option.
Available in single, double and triple HQI versions, each bulb is adjustable from left to right by 100mm along the length of the light to give the optimum lighting position for each individual tank and to allow for a wide range of stress bar positions.
The Infiniti is available in 6 standard colours which are applied in 3 stages to ensure a deep gloss and high resistance, especially to salt water.
To continue the theme of flexibility and personal choice, it is possible to order the light with either 6,500, 12,500, 14500 or 21,000 Kelvin Megachrome bulbs.
In addition you can boost the power of the HQI lamp with any mix of T5's from the 5 popular spectrums available in the D-D tube range.
The aesthetic shape of the magnesium alloy body was computer designed to overcome the common complaint with metal halide lights of direct glare from the bulb. The effectiveness of this is immediately obvious - even when viewed from a sitting position well below the level of the light.
